Virtual Private Networking (VPN) is one of the fastest growing
information technology market segments today. VPNs enable companies to
securely connect their offices, mobile workers, and business partners
using a protected tunnel through the Internet. VPNs are an economical
means to extend an existing corporate network infrastructure, and as an
alternative to typical leased lines, can be easier and more rapid to
deploy. ADTRAN® is introducing the ADVANTA™ 2000 series of
VPN products to address this growing Internet security need.
The ADVANTA 2100 is the first in the series of ADTRAN VPN products
designed to maintain data integrity, secure VPN tunneling, and protect
your LAN from cyber attacks. This plug-and-play Internet security
appliance provides all the necessary components required to secure an
integrated VPN solution. It is a standalone hardware platform that off
loads the CPU intensive encryption process associated with typical
software-implemented VPN solutions. Targeting branch office, small
office/home office (SOHO), and even business-to-business connectivity,
the ADVANTA 2100 offers several key security features like IPSec VPN
tunneling, access policies, stateful inspection firewall, cyber assault
protection, Network Address Translation, and authenticated remote user
access.
The ADVANTA 2100 adheres to IPSec standards, established and
maintained by IETF, enabling interoperability with many other IPSec
compliant gateways, thereby allowing for a multi-vendor VPN solution
that meets your needs. In addition, the ADVANTA 2100 can also act as a
gateway for small businesses, allowing for safe and secure transactions.
Stay tuned as ADTRAN expands the ADVANTA 2000 series to include medium
to large business VPN gateways and total system management.
