Pacific Wireless
Decisions to aim for an ultra-reliable service in
wireless broadband technology are paying off for Pacific
Wireless. Pacific Wireless wanted a state-of-the-art
product that offered high capacity at a low cost, as
well as a local implementation partner to design and
integrate the solution.
Pacific Wireless selected Enterasys as its network
technology supplier, and rolled out a new network,
including X-Pedition switch routers and RoamAbout TM
wireless.
Education
The North Broward Preparatory Schools
The North Broward Preparatory Schools faced a challenge
not unlike that confronted by many other schools today:
taking advantage of available technology while working
with limited financial resources. The Schools sought to
put a laptop into the hands of every student thanks to
an infrastructure that offered increased speed and
reliability. A network with Enterasys' RoamAbout, Matrix
E7 and Vertical Horizon solutions became the smartest
choice. To learn more, click

"How do you easily wire six lecture halls,
libraries and classroom buildings for Internet and
e-mail access at a 169-year-old New England university?
You don't.
"Susan Mellady, IT director at the University of
New England in Portland, opted for 802.11b-based
wireless LAN technology from Enterasys Networks instead
of hardwiring several campus buildings. She also managed
to save thousands of dollars in the process."

PCs in movable classrooms to Ethernet networks in main
school buildings with a flexible, portable setup from

"The county's 143 educational sites have 115,000
students, making the school district population the
nation's second largest. Every year, the district moves
trailer-like classrooms depending on student population
growth and shifts."
