HS420A,
a 4U rack-mount chassis designed with dual Intel® Xeon™ processor technology,
multi-gigabit networking, hot swappable FRU (Field Replaceable Unit), seamless
system management, and clutter-less cable management.
This product achieves excellence in terms of its aggregated 20 Intel® Xeon™
computing
power and 20Gb network throughput. In addition, HS420A enables the world 1st
application-specific blade server platform with the integrated PCI-X expansion
feature. With the innovation,
HS420A can
provide a high-performance, cost-effective platform for the applications require
specific add-in cards or controllers. The platform is ideal for the applications
such as CTI with voice recognition, Testing and measurement, security, storage
and system upgrade etc...
To simplify the system management and reduce number of cable required for
connecting peripheral devices, the chassis is built with integrated KVM switch,
peripheral switch, and Gigabit Ethernet switch. The KVM switch allows the
populated server blades to share KVM device, the peripheral switch allows the
sharing of CD/ROM drive and FDD drive, and the Gigabit Ethernet switch allows
high speed interconnection among the server blades. Multiple chassis can be
stacked up together to share KVM device by linking the KVM daisy chain ports
reserved on each chassis. With the built-in remote management module, system
administrator can control and monitor the HiServer system remotely any time and
anywhere securely.
