OCTAL FXS MODULE
The ATLAS 550 FXS option modules provides eight 2-wire interfaces that can
operate in the PLAR, Tandem (MEGACOM), or FXS mode and supports PBX circuits,
analog phones and modems. The module provides talk battery, off-hook supervision
and balanced ringing for short loop or premises applications.
OCTAL FXO MODULE
The FXO module is one of several expansion modules for the ATLAS 550
integrated access devices and provides eight (8) foreign exchange office loop
interfaces. This module should be selected when a connection to one to eight
voice line cards of a key system or PBX is required. PBX extensions may be
extended to a remote site by combining a TSU on the remote end with FXS modules.
The module can emulate the CO side of a DID (Direct Inward Dial) trunk. The
module provides standard 2FXO or DPT functionality to distances of 2400 feet.

interfaces or dynamically switched
- Loop start, ground start and DPT
- Extends phone lines to remote sites over T1 or Frame Relay (using Voice
Compression Module)
- 2-wire interface through an RJ-48 modular connector
