DUAL Nx56/64
ATLAS 550 MODULE
|
The Dual Nx56/64 module combines with other ATLAS 550 components to provide
solutions for a variety of wide area networking applications. Providing two
synchronous V.35 DTE ports, the Dual Nx56/64 module serves as the interface for
high speed routers and other DTE equipment to access the wide area network.
Each port of the Dual Nx56/64 module can be configured through software to
operate at any multiple of 56k or 64 kbps, up to 2.048 Mbps. Using the ATLAS
Channel Mapping Utility, a port can be mapped to one or more DS0s of a T1
circuit, providing high performance connections to remote locations.
The Dual Nx56/64 module includes an extensive array of diagnostic tools to
assist in identifying and correcting network problems. Included is a built-in
Self-Test utility, as well as standards-based 511 test pattern generators and
detectors for both ports. Key interface signals from each port are monitored and
displayed, providing real time status of network activity.
