• We adopt the notebook type CD-ROM and FDD to overcome the problem of space limitation. Because the notebook devices are designed for rugged operation, it will have better reliability when applied to rack-mount application.

• We designed the optional system monitoring panel to add intelligence into the system. You can use our PISM-2000 (a specially designed system monitoring board) to control the system and even have a better S/W control for the system management.

• Though minimal changes are required on the ventilation system, we still take into account on the temperature problem. With its new design, it reduces heat tremendously via the high quality and reliable fans that expires heat from the system. The "hot-swappable" function takes much less hassle when changing of defective cooling fans is needed.

ACTI-8500 is a completely new system specially designed for CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) application and fault-tolerant computing. Using the most powerful N+1 600W redundant power supply is what resulted in a very steady supply of power to every component of the system. In order to fulfill the demands of different market segments, an external SCSI-to-SCSI and 7 mobile racks appears as standard for heavy-duty system storage. Similar to other rack-mount series, ACTI-8500 is equipped with a notebook type device (CD-ROM and FDD) and offers a large sized PICMG backplane as optional.

The ACTI SBC series work well with ACTI-8500 bringing the best computing power and integrity to meet the most demanding customer.
