Access Bank II HDSL

Product Overview

The Access Bank II HDSL (sold by ADC as EZT/DI/HDSL) is deployed by carriers to provide multi-line voice and high-speed data services over carriers' existing copper infrastructure. Access Bank II HDSL represents the integration of ADC's HDSL technology into the Access Bank II, creating an end-to-end digital deployment solution for carriers from wiring centers to customer locations. This solution enables carriers to decrease monthly access costs while providing T1 quality digital service delivery over low-cost unbundled copper access loops.

HDSL transceiver pair delivers 1.5Mbps over unbundled 4 wire copper telephone lines. Proven HDSL technology uses ADC Telecommunication embedded operations channel (EOC) for HDSL provisioning and network testing. Full soneplex compatibility ensures interoperability with over 5000 installed ADC Soneplex chassis.

HDSL Interface

  • HDSL transceiver operates over 4-wire unbundled copper at 1.5Mbps with 24 DS0 channels, or fractional T1 over 2-wire copper at 768Kbps with 12 DS0 channels.
  • Full transmission speeds to 12,000 feet on 24 gauge wire and 9,000 feet on 26 gauge wire, extendable with Soneplex repeaters.

Management

  • ADC Soneplex® embedded operation channel (EOC) for management and test of HDSL interface.
