SD1000 Internet Sharer
|
|
Economic Internet Sharing and
Simple Routing Device for Small Offices |
Overview
|
| |
Small offices no longer need to invest in costly network equipment
to access the Internet. After a few simple steps, small offices
can easily start sharing Internet services such as Web browsing,
Telnet, or e-mail, but with minimal cost.
SD1000 Internet Sharer is a basic, yet powerful internet sharing
device that provides simultaneous multi-user Internet access by
sharing one phone line, one modem, and one Internet account. With
four 10BaseT LAN ports connected to four local users, SD1000 establishes
shared internet access via one modem attached to a high-speed
RS-232 port. Functions such as dial-on-demand, IP address translation,
and virtual e-mail addresses, are easily provided for each user
in the most cost-effective way. And one uplink switch is designed
for direct hub connection through port one.
SD1000 Internet Sharer can also be used to economically connect
small offices to head offices. By dialing up a MOXA Async Server
in the head office, SD1000 can be used for enterprise network
access by acting as a simple router and hub to users in small
remote offices.
