Ideal WAN Access for Remote Sites and SMEs
Large corporations and SMEs alike save
time and money with Moxa's Internet routing solution.
High-end routing solutions have been available for many years,
but SMEs (Small to Medium Enterprises), schools, community networks,
and other organizations that fit the small office environment
mold were typically shut out by the high-end expense. It is only
recently, with the introduction of more modestly priced WAN access
routers, such as MOXA SR3000 Internet Router, that small office
environments on limited budgets have been able to afford the convenience
of connecting to company LANs, and to the Internet. MOXA SR3000
Internet Router is also ideally suited to provide WAN access and
LAN-to-LAN connectivity for corporation's remote sites, such as
branch offices and research labs.
Branch Office Connectivity

One of SR3000 Internet Router's main applications is to connect
remote sites, such as branch office LANs or research labs, to
headquarters. By providing employees with fast and reliable access
to both the Internet and their own corporate LANs, corporations
can enjoy increased productivity and better communications. And
SR3000 allows branch offices to implement the most up to date
WAN technologies, such as Queuing, NAT, and Filtering.
WAN Access for SMEs
Another important application for SR3000 is to provide WAN Access
for SMEs, schools, community networks, and other small office
type organizations. SR3000 is simple to set up and maintain, so
there is no need to hire a fulltime system administrator. Anyone
with moderate experience using the Internet and a PC should be
able to manage SR3000 Internet Router. Furthermore, using SR3000's
NAT capability allows all office employees to enjoy Internet access
through a single high-speed Internet/Intranet connection.
Advantages and Benefits
SR3000 Internet Router provides an economical and reliable routing
solution with high-speed synchronous WAN access via a 64K
T1/E1 leased line. An asynchronous serial port supporting connection
speeds of up to 460.8 Kbps serves as an automatic backup line
in the event that the WAN line becomes unavailable. Three convenient
procedures are available to set up and manage SR3000's network
settings. This includes a Windows installation wizard, console
port connection, or connecting by Telnet over the network. The
third option makes it possible to remotely tweak network settings
and other parameters from a network host whenever necessary. SR3000
also supports extensive features that increase WAN security and
reduce WAN costs.
