MOXA's Universal PCI series meets the new slot standard for expansion boards that is being rapidly adopted by PC server manufacturers. In addition, MOXA's new universal PCI boards work with both 3.3-volt and 5-volt slots, allowing MOXA boards to be used in virtually any PC server available. Our multiport serial cards provide 2/4/8 independent RS-232/422/485 serial ports for connecting data acquisition equipment and many other serial devices to the PC and its compatible systems.

High Reliability Reliability is a number one concern when designing equipment to be resistant to the interference inherent in a harsh industrial environment. The Industio family provides optical isolation (up to 2 KV) and surge protection (up to 25 KV ESD), which are critical to industrial applications.

Low Repair Rate The Industio family is equipped with custom MOXA ASIC technology to reduce the number of traditional ICs, and is manufactured with SMD technology, resulting in a return-for-repair rate lower than 0.5%.

Easy for Developing Industrial Applications What industrial developers need most is an easy-to-develop software environment. All of our Industio multiport serial cards include a developing tool, named PComm Lite, which consists of an easy-to-use API and debugging utility. In addition, on-board Automatic Data Direction Switching intelligence makes RS-485 half-duplex control as easy as controlling a normal RS-232 COM port.

MOXA's Smartio Family of multiport serial cards, which come with 4 or 8 RS-232 or RS-422/485 ports, are designed for communication applications that use smaller systems requiring good reliability and ease-of-use.
