Integrated Communication Retail Chain Store POS
System

_____________________________________________________________________________
The Aurora Group owns hundreds of communication retail chain
stores in Taiwan, and has recently installed several MOXA Smartio
C104H/PCI boards in some twenty stores located throughout Taipei.
The boards are used as part of the company's POS (Point of Sale)
system, connecting barcode scanners, cash registers, Pole displays,
and modems, to a central computer. On the other end of the line,
the PC server in the head office has an MOXA C320 Turbo board
installed, with each of its active serial ports connected to a
modem. This enables the company's headquarters to keep close tabs
on each store's sales activities, including easy analysis of customer
buying habits and updating of merchandise inventories, saving
the company time and money. All in all, this type of integrated
POS system speeds up the sales process, making it possible to
serve more customers, and consequently increase profit.
The Aurora Communication Retail Chain Store example is just one
more testament to the fact that MOXA products are ideal components
of any POS system. Not only are the boards compact, so that they
fit into virtually any PC, but driver installation and software
configuration is also easy. Compared to similar products offered
by other companies, the cost of purchasing and operating these
boards is low. They are also highly reliable and provide support
for most operating systems.
Overall Benefit:
Speeds up the sales process; saves time and cost.
