Overview

NPort Express DE-211
is a universal serial device server that can network-enable your
industrial serial devices, such as information display boards, PLCs, flow
meters, gas meters, CNC machines, and biometric identification card
readers. Seamless integration with your
industrial serial devices and Ethernet TCP/IP network
DE-211 supports RS-232/422 and 4-wire/2-wire RS-485, and has a built-in
terminator, making it fit for all types of industrial serial devices and
serial communications topologies. The optional Power over Serial function
allows DE-211 to be powered by DC power pins inside the DB25 serial cable
that connects to the serial device, allowing DE-211 to be seamlessly
integrated with connected serial devices.
Total software solution for Serial to Ethernet
applications
With the help of Windows Native COM driver technology, you can keep
running existing COM-based software, such as HyperTerminal, without
changing your software under Windows and Linux operating systems. In
addition, DE-211 provides versatile Raw Connection Modes for sockets, such
as TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP Server/Client, Pair Connection, and
Ethernet Modem, making DE-211 a powerful and flexible tool for completing
your important projects.
Easy installation and administration with
NPort Configurator
DE-211 NPort Configurator provides easy IP configuration, including DHCP,
MAC-IP mapping, and comes with enhanced easy configuration management and
fast deployment capabilities. Friendly Graphic User Interface management
utilities for Windows and user-configurable command mode are both
supplied.
