AcceleRAID 400 is a single channel, low profile PCI-X to Ultra320 SCSI
RAID controller with one internal and one external connector. Bringing
the performance and fault tolerance of enterprisec level RAID to high
end workstations and entry-level servers, the AcceleRAID 400 is capable
of data transfers up to 295 MB/s.
A star performer
Using IBM’s integrated RAIDon-Chip design, which combines an integrated
Power PC processor, PCI-X Bridge (64-bit, 133 MHz), Ultra320 SCSI Core,
and 16- way RAID XOR engine, the AcceleRAID 400 delivers stellar
performance and increased system throughput.
Data availability
AcceleRAID 400 delivers enterprise-level availability features at an
entry-level price. Features like active/active PCI Teaming, global and
dedicated hot spare, patrol read (hard drive media monitoring),
automatic rebuild and Immediate RAID Availability help assure continuous
access to data.
An optional battery backup module provides up to 72 hours of extra data
protection. AcceleRAID 400 includes 32 MB fixed ECC DDR SDRAM.
AcceleRAID 400 supports RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 10, 30, 50 and JBOD
with multi-drive failure recovery in RAID 0+1, 10, 30 and 50.
Easy to configure and manage
Managing RAID is simple with Global Array ManagerTM. Storage
administrators have the flexibility to select the optimum balance of
capacity, fault tolerance, data availability and I/O performance for
their specific applications.
Scaling with your business
Mylex Online RAID ExpansionTM (M.O.R.E.2) allows your storage to grow
with your business, by adding drives to existing arrays and migrating
from non-redundant to redundant RAID levels. With AcceleRAID 400, you
can connect up to 15 drives for a maximum storage capacity of 2.7 TB
using 180 GB drives.
AcceleRAID 400 is one of the most powerful and affordable RAID
