The eXtremeRAID 2000 is a high performance, four
channel PCI to Ultra 160 SCSI RAID controller solution for midrange to
enterprise servers. Featuring a 64-bit PCI interface, eXtremeRAID 2000
brings the performance and fault tolerance of RAID to high data availability
applications.
eXtreme Performance
The eXtremeRAID 2000 incorporates up to 64MB
SDRAM, and a 233 MHz RISC processor, the fastest available on a PCI-based
RAID controller. Mylex’s proven RAID firmware and driver technology has been
instrumental in more TPC benchmark records being set with Mylex RAID
controllers than with any other brand.
Data availability
The eXtremeRAID 2000 supports RAID levels 0,
1, 0+1, 3, 5, 10, 30, 50 and JBOD. It’s a fact that drives will occasionally
fail. You can’t afford to lose data or to interrupt the flow of information
when that happens. That’s why Mylex’s eXtremeRAID 2000 has a multitude of
features that support 24x7 reliability. These include PCI Hot Plug
capability and an optional battery backup system. Other features such as hot
spare and automatic rebuild allow the server to continue to operate when a
drive fails.
eXtremeRAID scales with you
As your RAID system grows, eXtremeRAID 2000
scales with it. Mylex Online RAID ExpansionTM (M.O.R.E.) allows you to AD-d
drives to existing arrays, and re-stripe the data across all the drives.
Connect up to 60 drives for up to 4.32TB of storage capacity per controller.
Manage RAID easily
Easily manage your RAID arrays from anywhere.
Comprehensive storage
management capabilities for the eXtremeRAID
2000 come from Global Array ManagerTM, Mylex’s industry-leAD-ing suite of
management utilities. These utilities allow you to remotely configure and
monitor RAID subsystems using industry standard protocols. Immediate RAID
Availability (background initialization) allows you to perform other setup
tasks while the drives initialize.
eXtremeRAID 2000 provides eXtreme performance
in enterprise systems or any place where 24x7 RAID depend-ability is a must.
