VIA Technologies Legacy Chipset Factory Affected by Japan Earthquake & Tsunami

posted on: Thursday, April 7, 2011 by Jason
Notice:

We have been informed that one of the factories that produces VIA Technologies' legacy chipset components has postponed shipments of the VIA CN700, VX800 and VT8237 chipsets until further notice. There is still a supply of these chipsets and the products that utilize them, however we may see some shortage in the future, depending on how long the production is halted.

If your projects or systems rely on these chipsets and you would like to secure replacement or extra equipment, please contact us at 1-800-941-0322 (+1-972-234-4343) and we will help you do so.

We would also like to extend our condolences to those in Japan, and around the world, affected by the tragic earthquake and tsunami last month. Families have suffered unimaginable loss, and many survivors will be forced to relocate and leave the homes they have occupied their entire life. If you are able, please extend a helping hand by donating what you can. Donate to Japan via Red Cross
